Ixchel is a holistic center located in downtown Vancouver where we focus on the healing of the person seen from the HOLOS (which means a whole, the whole) working the 3 different bodies: physical, mental and spiritual.
Different techniques or methods are used so that the human being learns to manage and graduate in moments of change, whether physical or emotional, and to maintain balance and internal peace.
It’s a space where you can find answers, learn healing methods, and find the path to peace when situations threaten to topple you, bring you rage or take your emotional stability. Focusing on the persons form as a whole entity, that implies looking at past life experiences, as well as spiritual, physical, and psychological aspects of the person.
Ixchel was seen as the moon goddess, because of the female characteristics. She represented the fertility that was greatly linked to the earth, seeing as the moon’s cycles are the ones that rule harvest times. Ixchel is also associated with the rain and god Chaac for these same concepts.
It is said that during every new fire, goddess Ixchel is reborn and allows the stars to fall in love. Giving birth to a son, for which she is too considered goddess of birth and fertility.
